Chateau Moo

Welcome! C’mon In!
June 2022

With summer here and the flowers and gardens beckoning, we have decided it’s time to stop and smell the roses. We are taking “the Moo” back to its roots as a hobby. Being fortunate enough to have found a hobby that encompasses travel, sight seeing, dining out and shopping, what more could we ask for?

We are keeping the storefront and showroom, located on the south end of Main Street in Dayton, Iowa, we just won’t be keeping set hours. Our farmhouse and french country cottage inspired chalk painted furniture is still available along with home dècor, vintage furniture, lawn art, apparel, signage of all kinds and thoughtful gift items.

We also have on hand gently used furniture that just needs a little T.L.C. to be right back in the game – a great start your own “hobby”. Lessons, advice and opinions as well as an assortment of mineral chalk paint, transfers, stencils and associated supplies are available should the mood strike.

Please call (641) 691-0775 to make an appointment, arrange for chalk painting lessons or to see if we are available.

The Showroom is morphing … this is going to be fun. Here are just a few of current pieces.

The latest offering, a day trip to Wonderland.

We have branched out …

We have taken a booth at Carroll Design & Salvage, Hwy. 30 Carroll, Iowa. An eclectic array of vendors with some cool stuff. Well worth a visit. Find them on Facebook.

A few of our favorite places to browse
  1. Over 160 Dealers, Malls, Restaurants, Wineries and B&B’s are on the site with info and pictures of items in their shops.
  2. Check out the Road Trip Map that shows Member Shops from a state wide view down to a street view. Plan your own Road Trip at a glance!

Gravy Home Goods, Main Street, Jewell, Iowa. This shop calls itself a “vintage home goods store with original and repurposed finds to make your house fresh and fun”. And that it is. It’s also chock full of ideas.

Where to next?
